Here is another "wine in a box" offering from Franzia! This one is the Sweet Merlot. Have tried other wines from the winery and have not been disappointed. True to form, the Sweet Merlot does not disappoint. Both Winos easily agree on purchasing it again.... Rating: "Good"!
A web log started by two Wine Enthusiasts, synonym for "Winos". Its intent is to log our thoughts and opinions about inexpensive wines available at local grocery and beverage stores. Our hope is to prevent other "Winos" from making the same mistakes we made with our wine purchases.

Will try this soon. In the same vein, I recommend the Sutter Home Sweet Red. Alcoholic content 12.5%. This was $4.99, sale price at Ralph's in CA.
ReplyDeleteDo give it a try and let us know what you think. We like the price as well as the taste... $12.99 for a 5 liter box in our area!
ReplyDeleteWhere can I buy Franzia Sweet Merlot in Indiana.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out our Blog! Suggest trying Franzia's Store Locator... http://www.franzia.com/store-locator.shtml
ReplyDeleteDo you suggest the Sweet Merlot over the Chillable Red? We like other sweet reds like Barefoot's but are a little hesitant to try a whole box. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteWe like them both. But, given a choice, would go with the Chillable Red. As a precaution when you purchase a box, buy a bottle of Sprite. If the wine is not to your liking, then make wine coolers by mixing it with Sprite.
