Chillin to Live Music at the Truck Yard...!

The Winos had a great time chillin despite the brutal Texas heat last weekend. This round we stopped at the Truck Yard in the Colony. Been to the one in Dallas on Lower Greenville. Liking this one... seems to have more room to stretch!

Tried various beers and lemonades of the adult beverage variety. Also, had Load Brisket Queso and Fries from the Hot Potato Food Truck. Food, Drinks, and Live Music from Matt Tedder made for an awesome way to beat the Texas Heat!

Plan to come back for more....!

Western Son's Texas Vodka, La Finca Salsas, and a DIY Cheese Plate! #vodka

Our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant closed but fortunately - La Finca, but fortunately, they started taking online orders for their salsas and queso.

They are in town this weekend and next... pay attention to their website, looks like they will offering their Guiso Mexicano and Bean Soup entrees next time!

That said, made a DIY Cheese Plate that had chicken, salami, cheese, olive and tomatoes.

All went well, all was tasty including the martinis made with Western Son's Texas Vodka!

Tasty Caballo Feliz... aka Merry Horse from Vojai's Winery in Broken Bow, OK. This one gets a Good Rating from the Winos which means we will buy it again!

Spellbound Petite Sirah.... #winetasting

Winos give this one a good rating... will buy again in the future! It's a California Red Wine that has 15.5% alcohol content. Surprisingly smooth for a red, not the dry acidic taste we were anticipating!

On our mini-vacation to Broken Bow, our first winery stop was Fish Tales Winery (formerly Three Rivers Fly Shop). While we waited to check in to our cabin, did a little wine tasting and then had a light lunch of a pannini with bacon, raspbery, and provolone plus jalapenos coupled with a salad.

- Peach
- Little River White Muscadine

Also, had a glass of Sangria to go with our souvenier wine tasting glasses!
