Gallo Merlot

Was looking forward to some red wine with our Spaghetti for dinner tonight.  Unfortunately, the red wine did not deliver.... Not sure but both Winos agreed not to purchase this one again.

Not recommending this one.  Gave it a "Bad Rating".  Go with their Moscato or Cabernet Sauvignon and not the Merlot.

    Thanks for agreeing with us. We are pretty easy to please when it comes to wines but some times one does not come through.

      I decided to "Go Merlot" again, this time picking up a bottle of Rex-Goliath (also inexpensive). I say yes to this one. Has a little more zip than Sutter Home.

      "Went Merlot" and tried a bottle of Rex-Goliath from your suggestion... Agree... Yes, it gets a Good Rating. Thanks for the suggestion. Will post shortly our review!

    I bought a bottle of this because it was deeply discounted at the local Kroger. I used some to cook. I should have just dumped the rest of the bottle. It was that bad.

    To me the name Gallo has always been synonomous with really bad wines when recalling their jug varieties. This merlot gave no reason to change that impression.
