Gruene River Grill... the Number One Mexican Martini! #martini @winoswinegude

Learned about this cocktail several years ago while in the area for a wedding. Made it back to the Gruene Rive Grill for the NUMBER ONE MEXICAN MARTINI per the Winos!

When in the area, a must stop to all fellow winos! Don't miss out on this concoction, heavy on the tastiness, lots of alcohol, and do tread lightly as the Serrano Pepper an be spicy for some.

And, had the Red Wine Wino learned the hard way.... limit yourself to two or else! And, do have a designated driver as you will be over the legal limit!

More chillin in the Hill Country... this time grillin fish we caught on the trip to Port Aransas. Red Wine Wino and Sober Cider were rockin as the cooks for dinner last night!

Red Wine Wino and Sober Cider were just chillin in the Texas Hill Country, watching the grass get eaten by deer. Best way to do this... a bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade!

PS: We had a few Lone Star Beers while at Gruene Hall, too!

Hot Day But No Worries... Frozen Drinks at the Oasis! @winoswineguide #margaritas

Stopped in Austin on a scorcher of a day. No worries, ordered frozen drinks at the Oasis - restaurant on a hillside that overlooks Lake Travis. Great view with tasty and cold drinks that included Margaritas, Mexican Martinis, and Daiquiris. Good thing we had a designated driver!

This round the Red Wine Wino, White Wine Wino, and Sweet Wine Wino were joined by two others... Sober Cider and Rum Bum, plus our DD.

Let's just say there were many empty glassed this round!

Fun on the Town... Strawberry Swirl, Beer, and Sake, Anyone! #hyenaclub

Had a fun time out on the town the other night. Checked out Jon Reep and his funny jokes at the Hyena Club in Dallas. New stuff was gut busting funny, old stuff still has the Winos laughing. Enjoyed the show while partaking in "non-wine" drinks.

This time, tried the Strawberry Swirl Margarita and an IPA. Earlier had sake and Japanese beer at the Blue Fish, and the afterwards Shepherd's Pie and more beer at Trinity Hall Irish Pub!

This past week decided on frozen drinks since the temps have been climbing well past the 90 degree mark.

• At The Rustic in Dallas, went with Frose and the Remy Rita.
• At Landon Winery in McKinney, opted for Sangria Ritas and Peach Ritas.
• At Village Burger Bar in Allen, decided on Chamboritas made with Chambord.

Great way to beat the heat this Summer... especially when the temps are already in the 90s and Summer is still a few days away!
