Liking this wine... Landon Winery's Grand Finale. It's sweet but potent in alcohol content!
A web log started by two Wine Enthusiasts, synonym for "Winos". Its intent is to log our thoughts and opinions about inexpensive wines available at local grocery and beverage stores. Our hope is to prevent other "Winos" from making the same mistakes we made with our wine purchases.

Llano Sweet Red and an Awesome Weekend!
Winos having a glass or two of Llano Estacado Winery's while recalling thos past weekend's events... a tasty wine to go with a cool ring found metal detecting, standup longboarding with Charlie the #maltesepuppy and then checking out a past find... a gold ring! Awesome weekend!

Texas South Wind - Blackberry Fruit Wine #wine #sweetred
Texas South Wind Vineyard and Winery offers the Blackberry Fruit Wine. The Winos picked up several sweet reds from the Arts in Bloom Festival in McKinney last month. The Red Wine Wino is having to break the tie between two particular sweet reds that the White Wine Wino and Sweet Wine Wino have been "debating over".
For now, the Winos agree to purchase this one again, earning Texas South Wind' Blackberry Fruit Wine a Good Rating!

#grillin and #chillin with Firelight Vineyards Igniter #wine
Having a glass of Firelight Vineyards Igniter that we picked up last weekend at the Arts in Bloom Festival. Intent was to see what the Winos - Red Wine Wino, White Wine Wino, and guest "taster" the Sweet Wine Wino, would select this year as their favorite Sweet Red. The Igniter was one of several that the Winos liked that they bought a bottle! Still "tasting" the other Sweet Reds purchased... more to come! For now, Firelight Vineyards Igniter gets a Good Rating - "will buy it again"!

Red 55 Winery - Belle Sweet Red #wine
White Wine Wino picked this one up for the Red Wine Wino. It's a bottle of Red 55 Winery's sweet red they call Belle. "Tasted" this one over several days using the Becker Vineyard's wine tasting glass and Grape Creek Vineyards metal wine glass we picked up last month while in the Texas Hill Country.
Winos give this one a Good Rating; will need to pick up more bottles when in the area again!

Grape and Vine Sweet Red
Here is another $2.99 bottle of wine from California's Grape and Vine Wine Company. Strong alcohol content at 12.0%, like their Merlot, it's not bad for the price. Moreover, the Winos agreed to buy this one again... it gets a Neutral Rating.

Cherry On Top Sweet Red Wine
Had bought this one before a couple of years ago. Forgot to post our rating; luckily, bought another bottle yesterday and was able to rate it again. Both Winos agree to purchase it again! Gets a Good Rating.

Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Sweet Red
Having a hard time finding the White Zinfandel Merlot Blend from Beringer. Looks like it did not stay on the shelf for long. Decided on s Sweet Red from Woodbridge. It's made by Robert Mondavi under the Woodbridge label. Tastes good, like the price on the "big bottles". This one gets a Good Rating!

Georgetown Winery Holiday Edition Sweet Red
Here is one that comes from Georgetown Winery in Texas. Have had several of their offerings in the past and liked them. In this selection, their Holiday Edition Sweet Red we came away neutral on this one. The White Wine Wino liked it; the Red Wine Wino did too except for one quirk... the label did not have an alcohol content listed so it was not clear how much "oomph" this one packed. Going by the Red Wine Wino's conditioning, it did not have too much "oomph" This one gets a Neutral Rating.
