A web log started by two Wine Enthusiasts, synonym for "Winos". Its intent is to log our thoughts and opinions about inexpensive wines available at local grocery and beverage stores. Our hope is to prevent other "Winos" from making the same mistakes we made with our wine purchases.

Bolla Valpolicella
Here is an imported red wine that is a favorite of the Red Wine Wino. White Wine Wino agrees to purchase again, so it earns a "Good Rating". Moreover, the price is good at $11 for the "Big Bottle"!

Phoenix Bar House Reds, New Braunfels, Texas
Tried the House Reds at the Phoenix Bar in New Braunfels. They were serving a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Canyon Creek Winery. Both Winos give them a "Good Rating". One word of warning - karaoke night and wine can make a dangerous combination for some (directed specifically to the Red Wine Wino!).

Lone Star Wine Cellar, McKinney
Was out and about the other night in McKinney, Texas. Stopped at the Lone Star Wine Cellar after hearing live music - two acoustic guitars and some great singers. Chilled for a little sipping Sweet Red Wine. In this case, a glass of Barn Red from Canyon Hills Winery and a glass of Vintner's Blend Red from CrossRoads Winery. Both get the go ahead from both Winos.... "Good Ratings"!
PF Changs' Fruity Sangria and House Red
Had dinner at PF Changs the other night. With dinner, ordered the Fruity Sangria and then the House Red. Both Winos liked the Sangria; both Winos liked the House Red. Did notice the House Red was Menage A Trois Red, a red wine that the Red Wine Wino has a weakness for! Both get a "Good Rating"!
