Arts in Bloom Festival 2019 #mckinneytexas #texaswine

Made it back this year to the Arts in Bloom Festival hosted by the city of McKinney.  Like it last year where the Winos went on a quest for a tasty sweet red wine. This year, decided to do the same... below is video of the fun the Winos had on their quest for a sweet red wine!

Arts In Bloom Festival Wine Tasting

Lotta fun last weekend in Downtown McKinney at the Arts in Bloom Festival. Went to it last year. Liked it... came back this year. Have a video to edit; will post soon as it's done. For now, here are pictures from last weekend.  Do stay tuned!  Our goal was to see which Sweet Red we liked the most. Last year it was Kissing Tree Winery's "First Kiss"

Arts In Bloom Festival in Historic Downtown McKinney #winetasting

Had a great time at the Arts In Bloom Festival in Historic Downtown McKinney today. Enjoyed good food, great music, lots of arts and crafts... and our favorite... wine tasting. The Winos were joined today by a guest... the Sweet Wine Wino, so the Team decided to find a tasty red wine and purchase a bottle for later enjoyment!

So many choices but luckily, a decision was made... First Kiss Sweet Red Wine from Kissing Tree Vineyards in Eddy, TX. Do give this one a try... we understood the wine if offered in Texas at HEB and Central Market Grocery Stores!

The Pub in McKinney

Had some homemade chips... loaded of course, and a flight of whiskey. Went trout fishing earlier that day, so the Red Wine Wino was extremely pleased! Caught a fish, had fried food, and a buzz from the whiskey! White Wine Wino was the designated driver... no comment on the day's fun. LOL!

Stopped by Old Downtown Mckinney and had a few glasses of Sangria and Wine at Lone Star Wine Cellars. Laid back time listening to the "hum" of folks passing by... really great to chill on a great evening!

Hank's Grill (McKinney) House Red - Merlot

Was out one evening in McKinney, Texas listening to Texas Singer/Songwriter Roger Creager.  While listening to some great tunes, had a few beers and a little wine.  Ordered the House Red.  Not sure about the brand but it was good.  This one gets a Good Rating from the Winos!

Lone Star Wine Cellar, McKinney

Was out and about the other night in McKinney, Texas.  Stopped at the Lone Star Wine Cellar after hearing live music - two acoustic guitars and some great singers.  Chilled for a little sipping Sweet Red Wine.  In this case, a glass of Barn Red from Canyon Hills Winery and a glass of Vintner's Blend Red from CrossRoads Winery.  Both get the go ahead from both Winos.... "Good Ratings"!

Landon Winery - Sweet Wines

Went back to Landon Winery in downtown McKinney (Texas).  Decided to try their Sweet Wines - Raspberry, Peach, and Sweet Red.  Of the three the Raspberry and the Sweet Red earned Good Ratings; we will buy them again with a leaning toward the Raspberry Wine over the Sweet Red.  Both were good, just liked it over the Sweet Red more.  The Peach Wine was good too but did not carry the "umph" that hard core Winos like us enjoy (more like crave) when we are drinking.

Landon Winery - Texas Tempranillo

Stopped at a local winery for a glass wine after dinner.  The winery is Landon Winery located in McKinney, Texas.  They offer a number of wines to chose from; in our case, we decided on their Tempranillo.  This one gets a Good Rating!

Churchill's Pub - Wine and Mixed Drinks, McKinney Texas

Stopped at a local bar called Churchill's Pub.  Ordered mixed drinks and their house red wines - a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.  Pass on the mixed drinks; the Limoncella Martini was not what we were looking for.  But, the house red wines were!  Both get a Good Rating.  Problem is we forgot the name of the Winery.  It start with "Shadow..." else we forget the other words.
