Grist Mill's Sangria!

Was having dinner the other week in Gruene, Texas at the Grist Mill.  Decided to try their Sangria... tasty, tasty, tasty.  It gets a Good Rating from the Winos.  Went with a carafe instead of just a glass!

Phoenix Bar - House Red Merlot

Still do not recall the winery that makes the House Red Merlot the Phoenix Bar in New Braunfels is serving. Went back the other day and forgot to get the name.  Still earns a Good Rating; still don't know the winery's name!

Phoenix Bar House Reds, New Braunfels, Texas

Tried the House Reds at the Phoenix Bar in New Braunfels.  They were serving a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Canyon Creek Winery.  Both Winos give them a "Good Rating".  One word of warning - karaoke night and wine can make a dangerous combination for some (directed specifically to the Red Wine Wino!).

Calahan's, New Braunfels, Texas

One last stop in New Braunfels before moving on.  This one is an Irish Pub serving Barefoot Merlot for their House Red.  It's Calahan's located in downtown New Braunfels.  Barefoot has always been a consistent producer of wines we liked.  This stop re-affirmed our opinion with the Barefoot Merlot earning another "Good Rating"!

The Ale House, New Braunfels, Texas

Continuing on our "walkabout" in downtown New Braunfels, checked out The Ale House and ordered their House Red and a Pale Ale.... House Red turned out to be a Copperidge Merlot; Pale Ale was one we have not tried before - 151 Austin Ale.  The Copperidge Merlot earned a "Good Rating"; moreover, although we are not big on ales, the 151 Austin Ale was a pleasant surprise!

Scores Sport Bar, New Braunfels, Texas - Woodbridge Merlot

While out and about this weekend, stopped at a sports bar in New Braunfels to checkout a few NCAA Football Games.  While reviewing the scores, ordered their House Red which turned out to be the Woodbridge Merlot.  Had this one before and liked it.  This time, both Winos liked it again... this one gets a "Good Rating" again!
