Phoenix Bar House Reds, New Braunfels, Texas
Tried the House Reds at the Phoenix Bar in New Braunfels. They were serving a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Canyon Creek Winery. Both Winos give them a "Good Rating". One word of warning - karaoke night and wine can make a dangerous combination for some (directed specifically to the Red Wine Wino!).

Must say that even those cell phone photos of the glass of merlot look quite appealing to me :) My latest merlot is Black Swan, an Australian cheapee under $6 and 12.5%. This one feels a little too smooth, meaning that it's a fun merlot that will not be my favorite, but is good enough for me to finish the entire bottle right now. Good night my fellow wino's.
